Samos

Hello everyone!
I hope you are all interested in my fifth blog post. As usual, if you have any critique, let me hear about it in the comments. :)

This blog post is going to be about a tiny island called Samos. Samos is one of the Greek islands to the east of Athens.  My family and I went there in autumn, that was really good, because it wasn't that hot! Normally in summer it's really hot there, it's usually around 20 to 30 degrees but in autumn just 16 to 23.
In Samos it's also really nice to go hiking! And that's much nicer when it's not 30 degrees, right?
But you can also go swimming in autumn there, because the sea is not too cold. And there is an advantage: in the autumn there is no one else. When you are in a small town, you have the whole beach just for your own. That's great, isn't it?
And let's talk about food!
Have you ever tried real Greek food? I mean really nice typical food, served in a small tavern, cooked by a Greece cook?
NO?
Okay, than you really have to try it and after you have eaten this, you don't want to eat anything else!
The nature is really beautiful as well. There are the typical olive trees and a lot of other plants and flowers creating a really wild and natural countryside.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it,
Lara

Kaltern

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all interested in my fourth blog post. As usual, if you have any critique, let me hear about it in the comments. :)

This blog post is going to be about Kaltern. Its in the north of Italy in south Tyrol.
Kaltern is perfect, if you want to have an activity holiday! In south Tyrol there are so many mountains, where you can go hiking. That's what my family and I have done for nearly two weeks!
It's just so nice to be in the nature the whole day, its sporty and its also a nice way to destress, because its also a kind of meditation when you just walk around and think about anything. It sounds a bit strange but its really good!
Also, when you go hiking there, there is almost everywhere a lake, so when you are tired and sweaty after the hike, just take swim clothes with you and enjoy the cool clear lake!
So as you can see, it is really good to do some sport for the holidays, but also for the nice food it's brilliant...
It's Italy, so the pizza and pasta are just delicious!
So when you want to be active in your holidays, but you also want really good food, I recommend Kaltern or south Tyrol in general for you. Enjoy!
Thanks for reading,
Lara

Valmorel

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all interested in my third blog post. As usual, if you have any critique, let me hear about it in the comments. :)

This blog post is going to be about Valmorel. Valmorel is a small village in the French Alps and its wonderful for skiing!
The main reason why my parents picked this village in France for skiing, when obviously Austria or south Germany are not that far away from north Germany, where we are from, is that there is a German ski-school! That's really handy, because when we first went there, my sister and me were 10 years old and the daughters of our friends, who went there with us were only 6 and 4 years old so our English wasn't good and then, a German ski-school was really good for all of us!
There are apartments direct on the ski run, so you can go with your skies out of the door and go skiing down to the ski lift.
In the small village are a lot of typical nice restaurants, that's nice, because in the apartments you have to cook by yourself.
In every week there is a special thing, its called fondue-evening. All guests go to one of the small restaurants on the top of the mountain in the afternoon. There you have fondue for dinner and after that everyone gets a torch and then you go skiing in the dark with a torch in your hand down the mountain to your apartment! That's just so nice!
I can just recommend this small village to you!
Thanks for reading,
Lara

Portugal, again :)

Hello everyone!
I hope you are all interested in my second Blog post. As usual, if you have any critique, let me hear about it in the comments. :)

Like my first blog post is my second one about Portugal as well. That's because I really love Portugal! In this post I want to show you another great place, called Arrifana it's near Aljezur. Aljezur and Arrifana are in the south of Portugal, so don't fly to Lisbon, when you want to go there, fly to Faro. There you need to rent a car as well, because you have to drive around 2 hours to Arrifana.
Me and my Family, we only know about Arrifana, because friends of our family have their own house there. Arrifana is a small village without the big tourism like in Lagos, its a big city near Portimao and just 20 minutes with the car away. So when you want to go shopping and do some touristic stuff, then you can go there.
Arrifana has some beaches, they are all very nice and clean and perfect for surfing and swimming!
There are a lot of nice little restaurants there, where you can eat typical seafood fresh from the Atlantic coast!
If you want to try it, let's go! There are also small apartments and a youth hostel to rent as well!
That's it from me for today, thanks for reading,
Lara

Here you can see some beautiful pictures of Portugal

Portugal

Hello everyone!
I hope you are all interested in my first blog post. As usual, if you have any critique, let me hear about it in the comments. :)

My first blog post is about Portugal. I have been to Portugal for about 11 times now.
That's quite a lot but it's just because the two places, where my family and me are going to are just beautiful!
The first place, where we went to when me and my sister where younger was 'Santiago do Cacem'. It's south of Lisbon and a really small village.
I would recommend that you fly to Lisbon and rent a car there, because it´s about a three to four hours drive away. And when you are in 'Santiago do Cacem', you need a car to go anywhere. You need a car to go the supermarket, to get your rolls in the morning, to get to the beach and so on, so you really need a car!

My parents received a recommendation from a friend a few years ago, so we went to a little 'Finca' with six apartments. The landlords was from Germany as well, so we could speak German to them. That was really handy, because my sister and I were really young so we couldn't speak any English.
I can highly recommend this tiny village to you, it has everything you need. There is a big beach with a little lagoon for the kids, who aren't old and strong enough to swim in the Atlantic and there are some shops and restaurants as well. So if you plan to spend your summer holidays in Portugal, this is a very nice place.
